Youth for Christ Austria considers your privacy to be important. Therefore, we handle personal data and personal information collected with care. These data are only used by or on behalf of us and are not made available to third parties.
From whom does Youth for Christ Austria collect data?
Youth for Christ Austria collects personal data from everyone who is involved in carrying out its mission. This includes everyone who contributes practically to the execution of Youth for Christ’s mission such as volunteers, former staff members, clients of youth/club programmes and other contacts, but also everyone who makes the execution (financially) possible such as donors, tenants of Youth for Christ premises, clients of items from the webshop and campaigns and anyone else involved in Youth for Christ Austria’s work.
How is data collected?
The data is collected through e-mail, telephone, online forms on the website and (online) requests for information or materials and/or products.
What data does Youth for Christ Austria collect?
Youth for Christ Austria processes the personal data received from you in its administration systems for relations and/or donors. This primarily concerns your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. Your date of birth and church background may also be recorded, as well as the data we receive when you register for an event or place an order via our web shop. With all these data, we can inform you as well as possible. If you are a donor or have any other financial relationship with us, we will of course also process the details of your bank account and authorisation.
Retention period
Youth for Christ Austria will keep your data for a maximum of 4 years from the time you were last involved or after the last donation. In accordance with the law, financial data will be kept for a minimum of 7 years, after which it will be removed and possibly destroyed.
Inspection, change or deletion
You may at any time request access to the data we have recorded about you, and have it changed or deleted. To do so, please send an e-mail to info@yfc.at. Youth for Christ Austria will ask you for proof of your identity before allowing access, changing or deleting your details. We can only remove your financial details after the 7-year retention obligation.
Youth for Christ Austria likes to keep all stakeholders informed about its work and will preferably do this by e-mail. As a data subject, you may also receive an e-mail asking you to support us financially. When sending e-mails, Youth for Christ Austria uses a system that provides insight into how these e-mails are opened and which links are viewed. In this way Youth for Christ Austria can further optimise its information and better attune it to the interests of donors and those involved or more specifically approach certain target groups.
Unsubscribing from (e-mail) newsletters or other communication media
Would you like to receive fewer or no messages from us? You can indicate this at any time to the administration of Youth for Christ Austria. In case of an e-mail message, you can use the unsubscribe option at the bottom of the e-mail message. You can also send an e-mail to info@yfc.at
Security
Youth for Christ Austria has taken technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing. In this way we ensure that personal data is only accessible to employees who are authorised to do so by virtue of their position. We only use personal data for the purposes for which it was obtained and the resulting communication and fundraising purposes.
